This caster can be used in many situations as it is both a classic swivel caster and a very strong jockey wheel for heavy loads. Simply attach the caster using the 4 mounting holes (or weld it), and then manually turn the vertical axis using any metal rod to raise or lower the wheel within a total travel of 75 mm. It is easy to turn the axis with a bar even when loaded with 750 kilos. We do not recommend using a power wrench as it may damage the mechanism.
There is another setup in which the goal is to temporarily move a machine. You can therefore attach 4 casters of this type to a machine weighing a total of 2250 kilos (calculated using only 3 points). However, the casters need to be lifted simultaneously to avoid creating too much of a lever arm and risking breaking the thread. It is also important not to screw past the stop (marked by a red circlip at the end of the travel) to avoid damaging the internal mechanism. The floor must be smooth and the caster perfectly level in order to pivot. Before moving your machine, it is advisable to check the flatness of the entire setup using an electronic level (each caster must be level but not necessarily the structure).
The mount is made of steel with a classic black paint (lacquer). A grease fitting is attached to the wheel and will allow the mechanism to function properly (to be greased every 3 months depending on use).
The 150 mm diameter wheel is designed to carry very heavy loads thanks to the cast iron on which we have poured a polyurethane coating. The tread resists static loads and will not deform by creating a flat spot.
This is a model of very high durability. 3D plan available upon request.
If you wish to opt for a crank model, you can select the item 60862. This one is more suitable for frequent movements.
