This castor for containers is suitable for prolonged static loads on hard surfaces such as concrete floors.

The 10 mm steel design and double wheel allow for loads of 5000 kg per unit, or 15 tons on 4 casters (we always calculate based on 3 points for safety). It is also important that the small diameter should only be used on clean surfaces without stones or gravel. The ideal context is inside a warehouse on a smooth floor and flat slab.

Nylon has the advantage of not deforming under high loads, which is a huge benefit for the container moving environment as the movements are very occasional.

The fixation is different compared to other models found on the market with a quick lever. Indeed, to achieve such levels of dynamic load at 4 km/h, it is important to mechanically lock the castor inside the ISO 1161 corner.

To set up this model, you will need to lift the container by at least 300 mm in order to pass underneath and fit the machined and threaded fixation block. Once in place, the side plate fits into the corner of the container and secures by screwing in the threaded axle sold in the kit. In this way, it is completely impossible for the castor to detach itself due to vibrations from movements. Heavy-duty ball bearings are inside the wheels to facilitate the rotation of the wheel.

We recommend this model to avoid raising the useful working height of containers that have a heavy total mass too much. Applicable to both a 40'HC and a standard 20-foot container. We also offer a towing bar to pull the container as a whole, the product is available here.
