This model is versatile; you can install it with the ball facing down to make it a roller (in this case, be sure to divide the unit load by 2). It will allow you to roll on perfectly smooth surfaces like concrete. You can also choose to install it with the ball facing up to make it a conveyor roller. This will enable you to move all types of loads such as wooden planks, steel sheets, luggage in airports, or boxes on handling conveyors.
The number of rollers needed corresponds to the load to be transported. If your load is 180 kg per unit and the ball supports 60 kg, then at least 3 balls must be in use at all times. Therefore, you need to take the smallest dimension of your object to be moved and divide it by 3.5 (safety factor). If the object to be moved is a door lying flat and it measures 2m in height by 83 cm in width, you will need one ball every 23 cm (83/3.5 rounded down). It can be bolted or fixed with a self-tapping screw for metal.
The structure of the roller has a galvanized steel coating to prevent any risk of corrosion. There is no internal seal, allowing this model to be used in ovens at a maximum of 270 degrees Celsius for a short time.
A hole in the lower base is provided to prevent any risk of stagnant water affecting the metal frame.
