Each castor is capable of bearing over 2.5 tonnes making a total maximum load of 7.5 tonnes for 4 castors. It should always be remembered that the overall max weight is only calculated on 3 supports.
The body of the wheel is in cast iron with a tough polyurethane coating on the tread. The mounting is in very thick steel. The overall height is 475 mm. The advantage of polyurethane is that it never loses its shape even when carrying heavy loads in a static position.
