KIT CONTAINER WHEELS

€798.00 Tax included

REF: 99349

To move a container, you will need two wheels of this reference number + your forklift truck to lift and steer the unit.

If you do not want to use a forklift truck every time, don't panic, we have designed a container pallet truck available here. You will need to order one pair of pallet trucks and two units of wheels 99349.

The most common use is to purchase only two wheels of this reference, install them on one side, and then lift the container using a forklift. You can then move forward or backward as you wish while remaining in your forklift. Ideally, you should strap the container to your trolley to prevent the forks from slipping when turning corners.

This very special wheel model makes it easy to move containers of all sizes. A total of 6 tonnes can be distributed over the 2 wheels. This means that you can move containers weighing up to 9 tonnes in total.

Three tonnes are allocated to the right wheel, three tonnes to the left wheel and three tonnes to your forklift, depending on its load capacity.

This model has the advantage of having a fairly low ground clearance of around 6 or 7 centimetres. This means there is no need for an additional step to get into the container. In addition, our tyres are exceptionally durable and are not sensitive to static loads, unlike inflated wheels, which will deflate over time.

For example, if you want to move a 20-foot container with an empty weight of 1,300 kilograms, you can load up to 7,700 kilograms inside the container, distributed evenly over the two wheels + your trolley.

The steps are quite simple:

1) Lift the container using a forklift on one side, then place wooden blocks underneath to secure it in case of a fall.

2) Place each wheel in its location on the side in the ISO 1161 hole. Normally, the dimensions of the hole are 79.5x51 mm and our plate measures 77x47 mm if the corner is to the correct standard (there are 3 holes in the lower corner piece).

3) Place the container down, removing the forklift so that the system locks into place by gravity. Place the hook of a ratchet strap in the hole in the yellow metal part of the wheel and strap it to the top corner of the container. Repeat on each side.

4) Lift the other side of your container by placing the forks underneath it, strap it to your forklift and off you go!

The ground clearance of the container will therefore be higher once the wheels are installed, at 6 or 7 centimetres.
