This product is used with our pair of wheels with side attachment available here.
This item is a unique design! It is a pallet truck specially adapted for shipping containers.
This item consists of a left side and a right side. You can also order two pairs of 2 pallet trucks to move the whole thing, but it will be more difficult to maneuver compared to 2 fixed side wheels + 1 pair of container pallet trucks.
It attaches laterally to the ISO 1161 corner (international container standard) and then locks in place to prevent movement during transport.
The container needs to be raised by 35mm so that the ISO corner aligns with the pallet truck's attachment system. In the raised position, your container will be elevated by a maximum of 128mm.
On the other side, simply install a pair of side attachment wheels made of rubber (reference 99349).
Once this installation is done and leveled, the total height of the container is increased by about 6 cm, which should be taken into account beforehand.
It is important not to install the pallet trucks on the door side of the container, otherwise, you will not be able to open the doors (if you need to access the inside). The effort required to move a 6-ton container in total (2 tons of tare and 4 tons of load inside) is 60 kilos at startup and then 40 kg in continuous pull. This means that 2 people are sufficient to move it! It is also possible to have 2 people at each pallet truck or to add a fifth person pushing from the other side. Everything is possible depending on the load, but we personally conducted our tests using an electronic dynamometer to ensure that the effort is quantifiable and easily achievable.
